综合概述：大学现在有15个学术学院及12所住宿院，提供不同的本科及研究生课程和设施配套。该校同时很重视本科教育，现在大部分的学士课程均由教授亲自任教。耶鲁尤其以法学见长，其法学院长期以来也是全美最难入读的。 其图书馆馆藏量也在全美学术图书馆中位列第二。大学的学术架构主要分3个部分：一是耶鲁学院，提供各种本科课程；二是艺术与科学研究院（Graduate School of Arts and Sciences），提供一般的研究生课程；最后是专业学院（Professional Schools），提供专业课程。
